This assignment was part of a UX Design module where the brief was to identify an existing website in need of redesign and analyse its usability challenges using basic UX and UI methods. I selected Pacific Northwest X-Ray, a medical equipment supplier, due to its hidden navigation, inconsistent product pages, poor mobile usability, and lack of clear structure for professional users. The focus of the assignment was not a full visual overhaul, but refining key functional aspects through research, goal definition, and user-centred design. I conducted usability analysis, competitor research, and created user personas to better understand the needs of healthcare professionals using the site. Based on this, I defined clear redesign goals and developed a simplified sitemap, which was presented and discussed in a group setting to gather feedback and alternative perspectives. Using insights from this collaboration, I created low-fidelity wireframes that improve information architecture, product discovery, and quote-request workflows. The final outcome demonstrates an iterative UX process grounded in research, collaboration, and functional improvement rather than purely aesthetic change.
